Training natural path
in Àþuolija botanical zoological municipal reservation
The forest of Àþuolija is in Utena region, Leliûnai rural district.
The total area of Àþuolija forest is 305 ha. By the decision of
Utena region Council a part of this oak-wood was acknowledged to be
Àþuolija Botanical Zoological Municipal Reservation. The training
natural path was arranged in Àþuolija Reservation. The visitors of
the path become familiar with natural variety of the rivulet in the
old deciduous forest. There is the small and the big path. If you
walk along the small path you can visit 10 stations from 15 while
the big path embraces all stations. Names of stations of the path:
1. Oak-Wood; 2. Glade; 3. Old Riverbed; 4. Landslide and beaver dam;
5. Gully; 6. Mushrooms; 7. Woodpeckers; 8. Rivulet; 9. Peninsula;
10. Hollow Oak; 11. Hill of Caves; 12. Seat of Bark Beetles; 13.
Knobby oak; 14. Railway; 15. Wet black-alder grove.
