Vyžuonos First built in
1406, the church underwent substantial repair in 1892. In the outside wall on the right
the stone head of a grass snake, Vyžas, mounted in the brick and on the left is a Swedish
cannon-ball from stone which fell in Vyžuonos. It is thought that a great patriot of
Lithuania, General Mikalojus Radvila (Perknas) is entombed in this church.
