The project "Traveling Safer. Tick Prevention in the Utena Region" has been implemented!

The project "I travel safer. Tick prevention in the Utena region" was successfully implemented with the funds of the Utena District Municipality Health Program.

The goal of the project is to reduce the incidence of tick-borne diseases, such as tick-borne encephalitis and Lyme disease, in the Utena district by increasing public awareness and promoting the application of preventive measures.

Project results:
* Three information stands "Ticks do not go on vacation. Rest safely - check yourself and others" have been erected in the natural objects of the city of Utena: Krašuona and Vyžuona parks and Aukštakalnis pine forest.
* An educational game "JENGA UTENON" has been created. This unique game introduces visitors to the Utena region's attractions, objects and personalities, and also encourages interest in the region's history, nature, architecture and culture.

The total value of the project "I travel safer. Tick prevention in the Utena region" is 800 EUR. The project "I travel safer. Tick prevention in the Utena region" is financed under the Utena District Municipality Health Program No. 07 2025–2027 Strategic Activity Plan Measure No. 07-02-03 "Implementation of a Special Public Health Support Program".
