Sculpture "Eternal Tourist"

Sculptures

In 2023 September 29 Utena celebrated the World Tourism Day and the 25th birthday of the Utena Tourism Information Center. To commemorate these occasions, a bronze sculpture "The Eternal Tourist" was erected in the city. This is the work of sculptor Lukas Šiupšinskas - a cute character with a "Hemingway" beard, ready to explore the world and prudently equipped with tourist equipment: hiking stick, camera, binoculars, skates, rollerblades, swimming wheel, tourist backpack... There is no age for traveling - even a small child travels , and an elderly senior, but everyone does it in their own way.
Therefore, the bronze tourist who stopped at the Utena tourist information center is waiting for his companions - everyone who comes to get to know the Utena region or dreams of looking elsewhere.
Travels can only be better than other trips you haven't been to! So dream on! Dreams do come true - you just need to think of a direction of travel and rub the eye looking through the binoculars of the Eternal Tourist!
